This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In unit 5, I learned about the correct and incorrect dynamics and methods a class room can be ran. I took note of both correct and incorrect methods because it is useful to be aware if and when I might do something incorrect; such as calling out a student to answer a specific question. This would be an incorrect way to get a student involved, but it is useful to know it is the incorrect way and use the correct way and fix my mistakes. I not only learned about appropriate methods to keep the students interested and motivated, but also found it important to gain student and teacher rapport. In part of gaining respect from one another, this will help myself as the teacher and the student to be more relaxed and trusting of the process.
