For me, this unit was a refresher course in the type of grammatical particulars that I've forgotten over the years. Like the course mentions in the unit description, it's so easy for us native speakers not to remember these little details, like the difference between transitive verbs and intransitive verbs, or the different types of pronoun. All of it comes to me as second nature, but of course that kind of approach won't help me teach a student to whom all of this is foreign. For me it was good to brush up on basic grammar, and I appreciated the reset of perspective that doing so afforded me. Keeping grammatical basics in mind throughout the month running up to my teaching will undoubtedly be a great help when I'm in the classroom.
