This particular unit covered the different methods and techniques people use in teaching a new language, such as \"Task-Based Learning\" and \"The Lexical Approach.\" Although, each technique has its own merits and drawbacks, the technique that was considered to be most effective was the \"ESA: Engage, Study, and Activate\" Method. For each part of the ESA method, the unit covered various examples/exercises in order to successfully complete each aspect. The unit then went on to give different examples of how to structure a lesson plan based on the ESA approach: Straight Arrow Lesson, Boomerang Lesson, and Patchwork Lesson. The unit ended with an important section about correcting students and how best to correct mistakes and errors.
