This unit was about teaching reading and listening to students. In order to teach listening and reading skills effectively, the students' level of English must be carefully considered. New vocabulary must be introduced before the students listen or read new material, but it is also important that only the most essential vocabulary is introduced, since in every day life, they should be able to meet a couple unfamiliar words now and then and still be able to understand the general idea. This is an important skill that even native speakers use frequently. It is also important to choose materials that are appropriate for the level of the student, not too easy which would be boring, and not too difficult or it may discourage the students.
