The unit covers various types of classroom technology, advantages/disadvantages of including them in a lesson, and different strategies to teach with them. I learned about different ways to integrate these tools in with a lesson, how to be aware of their affects on my class, and how to make sure that I use them appropriately. I think incorporating technology into a lesson is a great way to engage the class and change up the routine of a lesson, especially since the same skills can be practiced and developed through new activities involving DVD's, video cameras, tapes, and SmartBoards/OHP can be visually more interesting. The tips on using white/chalk boards were helpful too in order to know how to best make use of the available space.
