I did not realize that there were so many future tenses in the English language, but I can see how they would be confusing for a second-language learner. It was interesting that this was the grammar unit that also explained mistakes in function that students may make, because while the future tenses and their differences are relatively difficult, so are some of the past tenses, especially the past perfect and the past perfect continuous. Either way, information about the function mistakes that students will have along with the form mistakes will be useful in developing a way to help students move past them. The specific suggestions for practice exercises for each of the future tenses will be extremely helpful when forming lesson plans.
