This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
What I've learned from this content is that speaking and writing are both productive skills and are substantially different in many ways. However, they both are used for the same purpose to communicate. In speaking, we can imply the use of accuracy and fluency activities. The accuracy activities are focused on producing correct language and must be initiated by the teacher. On the other hand, the fluency activities is part of the activate phase that allow students to experiment and be creative with the language. I also learned the ways on how to encourage students to speak and the techniques to encourage interaction such as pair-work and group-work.
