This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused on the topic of Modals, Phrasal Verbs and the Passive Voice. This unit listed down the different uses of modal auxiliary verbs and how it can affect the degree of formality and informality of the sentence, whether it acts as a verb to express obligation, possibility, permission, ability and advice. Another topic that was discussed is the subject matter of the passive voice, wherein the focus of the sentence is no longer the doer of the action but rather on the subject. Lastly, the three kinds of clauses was also discussed which are as follows: independent, dependent and relative clause. Identifying these 3 types of clauses might be confusing at times. Nonetheless, continuous review and sampler reading is recommended.
