I noticed that some of the exercises suggest using songs to teach tenses. I never thought of using songs for teaching how students would use the future simple. This is ironic since I'm a music teacher and I love to incorporate music in anything I do.
I can see a lot of my students having difficulty figuring out what tense a sentence is in. That's because I had a bit of difficulty and I speak English! For this area of study, I believe that I will need to spend a lot of time teaching students the difference between tenses. For example, sentences that typically start with \"By the time...\" are usually future perfect continuous. When the time comes to teach this topic, I will really have to figure our 'cheat codes' to each of the tenses.
