While I found all the information to be useful, specifically the information on placement tests and diagnostic tests, one aspect that was not discussed in the unit was how to effectively provide evaluations to students. Tests can be useful as it gives them a baseline score and an understanding of how they are doing on a general level, but they often fail to provide useful feedback. At one school I worked at, the teachers utilized a system online where they could privately grade the students on a variety of aspects when it comes to language ability, but it also gave them the ability to provide comments and suggestions as to how the students can perform better if they desire to. Something like this could be useful to include in the future.
