In this unit we covered theories, methods used to teach a language and techniques applied to teaching the target language. I found this very useful as the unit provided me with a lot of different techniques i can apply when teaching my students as well as methods that i can structure my lesson on like the straight arrow lesson, boomerang lesson or patchwork lesson.The lesson was about the advantage and disadvantag of using course books. There is benefits like that the material is tested and is suitibale for unexperienced teachers and pupils. It seems to be a good way to use both: a book you have analysed and tested first and other matirial so it will suite the needs of your pupils. A mix of both seems to be a good way to go.
