This unit teaches the use and structure of the future tense. It explains how and when each tense is used and in what situation they should be used.
I learnt of the 'Going to' future tense which indicates future plans with intentions. I also learnt that Present simple and present continuous can be used as future tenses when speaking about time tables, schedules and something arranged for the future respectively.Unit 6 explains the past tense and briefly describes how tefl teachers can teach it to their students, the rules are also compared to present tense, it is built on something already taught, something that is familiar. I can use similar approach in teaching, linking new concepts or material that has already been taught or that students know. The students will be able to approach new concept with more confidence.
